Granite

GRANITE

Granite is a licensable feature of Strata enabling API level integration with Genetec, Milestone or other VMS’s, enabling lightweight deployment and footprint for SOC personnel. Granite easily drops into existing Security Operations Centers and Security operations environments and allows security personnel to add redundancy, add locations, and shrink footprint without added integrations, or complex deployments and cost.

USE CASE

Granite fundamentally changes the way a security operation center can be deployed and used. Slashing installation times and costs while maximizing operator engagement and flexibility.

HOW IT WORKS

Granite uses the API of VMS Software to communicate with Strata’s layouts, and external communication.

For example, Granite is integrated with the Genetec Security Center WebSDK. Granite provides a Genetec-specific dashboard that an operator can use to specify a Security Center server, login, and easily bring in existing Security Center entities (e.g. cameras, doors, alarms). Entities associated with area or zone groupings are automatically linked with their maps. Granite auto-generates layouts viewable in Granite and links them to the correct triggers. Once logged in, the user can switch to an auto-generated layout for a specific area that displays the associated cameras on the video wall and an interactive 3D map centered on the area. Entities are displayed as interactive map pins. The Genetec dashboard also allows the user to monitor and interact with these entities. Active alarms can be monitored on a specific tab that allows the user to acknowledge or switch to videos centered on a specific alarm. Users can also perform PTZ actions, when available, directly on the video wall in XR. In addition to camera control, Granite allows users to interact with the physical entities. For example, to unlock a specific door by clicking (pinching) on the related map pin on the interactive 3D map. Users can also trigger or acknowledge alarms using the interactive map pins. When a 3D model (CAD, BIM) of the physical building is available, users can also import this into Granite as a map layer for better georeferencing of the physical assets.
