Brelyon and Headwall Announce Partnership to Launch MESA
SAN MATEO, CA, September 29, 2025 – Brelyon, the inventor of Ultra Reality® virtual display technology, and Headwall, a leader in visualization software, today announced a strategic partnership to launch MESA, a revolutionary XR operator workstation for command and control environments. This integrated solution, which combines Brelyon’s immersive, headset-free display with Headwall’s virtual command center software, will make its global debut at the Global Security Exchange (GSX) 2025 in New Orleans, from September 29 to October 1 at Booth 603.
MESA is engineered to transform security operations by addressing critical challenges such as operator fatigue, information overload, and physical space constraints. The system provides operators with an astonishing ten-foot panoramic virtual screen in a compact desktop device, replacing the need for large, multi-monitor setups. This turnkey hardware and software solution offers a new level of visual fidelity and depth without the need for a headset, enabling comfortable, long-duration use.
“In high-pressure command center situations, situational awareness and operator comfort are paramount,” said Barmak Heshmat, CEO of Brelyon. “MESA leverages our Ultra Reality® display to provide an expansive visual space that reduces eye fatigue and strain. We’ve created an experience that is like looking through a window into an immersive control room, delivering a massive 122-inch virtual image that allows operators to make faster, more informed decisions.”
The MESA workstation is a fully reconfigurable platform allowing users to work spatially with vast amounts of data. It seamlessly integrates streaming video, surveillance cameras, browser content, local desktop windows, ArcGIS maps, and BIM data into one intuitive 3D environment. The system boasts 4K resolution, a 60 Hz frame rate, and 700 Nits brightness for ultra-realistic virtual imagery. By avoiding the accommodation-vergence mismatch common in VR headsets, MESA mitigates nausea and eye fatigue, making it ideal for extended use.
“The partnership between Brelyon and Headwall represents a leap forward in command center functionality,” said Geoff Bund, CEO of Headwall. “Our virtual command center software and API automates common tasks and stitches together live video, geospatial context, and critical applications into one intuitive workspace. This allows MESA to deliver the effect of a ten-foot video wall in a package that’s roughly 4× smaller, accelerating deployment and operator effectiveness.”
Key features of the MESA XR Command Center include:
Headset-Free Immersion: A frictionless experience that provides a large-scale, panoramic virtual screen without headgear.
Superior Performance: Features a 122" virtual display with 4K resolution and 700 Nits brightness.
Unparalleled Comfort: Mitigates eye fatigue with a deeply immersive image (1.4m to 2.5m viewing depth) designed for extended operation.
Space Savings: Reduces the physical footprint by up to 4X compared to a multi-monitor video wall of equivalent size.
Turnkey Solution: A plug-and-play hardware/software system that is backward compatible with existing PCs or VMS using standard HDMI or DisplayPort inputs.
Complete Reconfigurability: Allows users to work spatially with streaming video, surveillance cameras, browser content, local desktop windows, ArcGIS maps, and BIM data from one single workstation.
GSX 2025 attendees are invited to experience the MESA XR Command Center firsthand at Booth 603 from September 29 to October 1 in New Orleans, LA.
